General Instruction
Read the instruction two or three times to get the idea, do not add to or detract from the instruction, then put down the manual and do it. (Instructions are in italics)
Your trouble–including pain–must be up, if no trouble, nothing to do, or better yet just coming up, best time to work. Stop what you are doing, do not move, do not talk, close your eyes. Be at the region. Physical ones — pain — usually are obvious. Be there. If the pain is posture-related, move just enough to bring it up then hold. Do not be concerned with the pain, just the region. If yours is an emotional disturbance or addiction there will be something different inside because of it and not necessarily painful in the usual sense. That is the region, be there. If necessary, think about the situation that brings up the emotion or addictive reaction, then be at the region. Hold. Do not be concerned with the emotion or reaction, just the region. If yours is an allergy or phobia, present yourself to the stimulant or situation, then be at the region that comes up with the reaction. With any of these, the region can be any place inside, on the surface or outside but near your body. It can be any size, shape, orientation, density, texture, intensity, color,…. You are internally touching, and usually internally seeing it. That is the faint matter comprising the region. You assign feeling to the touching. This is real, here and now, none of this is imagination, visualization, suggestion, etc. Be at the top of the region, positioned so you are looking down on it. From top to bottom is from head to toe standing. If sitting, “looking down” the thigh is from hip toward knee. Now, push down against it. Don’t ask how, just do it. Just…push. If nothing happens, you are imagining — useless. This is not imagining, visualizing, etc.
